一年一度的菲律宾鸟会嘉年华又要开始了,厦门鸟会再次受邀参加。请有意参加者踊跃报名。作为厦门鸟会代表,将代表厦门乃至中国和当地政府官员会面哦。(英文口语好应该是硬性要求)
Below is the program of activities for the event dates on October 4 and 5, 2013. For those who wish to arrive on October 2, there will be a guided birdwatching activity and city tour on October 3. (please see the schedule below, in blue letters).


Additional information:
1. Exhibit booth size: 2m x 3m
2. Additional charges:
2.1 Extra night room charge (for those arriving before Oct 3 and/or
extending their stay in Zamboanga after Oct 6) : Php2,300/night per room (good for 2 persons)

2.2 Registration fee for additional delegate: USD230/ person (Note: the WBCP will provide full board and lodging for two (2) delegates per organization from October 3-6 (3 nights).

October 2 (Wed) – Arrivals for delegates attending pre-festival tour

October 3 (Thr) – Arrivals for all delegates

October 3 activity:
Pre-festival tour to Mt. Baluno cortesy of DENR Region IX
0500 Wake-up call
0530 Depart Lantaka Hotel for Mt Baluno
0700 Arrive in Mt Baluno
Packed breakfast
0730 Roadside birding
1100 Packed lunch
1230 Return to City proper
1400 Arrive in Lantaka Hotel

(NOTE: For delegates who will be staying until October 7, the delegates will be shuttled to the boulevard to watch the "regatta" parade of the colorful vinta boats by the sea which will start at 7am. An optional birdwatching early morning trip to Baluno may be arranged with a corresponding out-of-pocket cost).

Guided birdwatching trip for students at ZSCMST fishponds

One-hour guided birdwatching activity at the fishponds of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology to be led by Wild Bird Club of the Philippines.
Maximum of 40 students only per session. Reservations required.

Nature walk with Arne Jensen at Intake Watershed and Bog Lake

Join Danish biologist Arne Jensen on a nature walk – learn about ecosystems and the role of birds as environmental indicators. Reservations required.
