Progress on China Photoguide
Hello, this is HF Cheung from Xinjiang. The preparation of China Photoguide has been going well, as least faster than I expected. I will be leaving Xinjiang soon because it is already getting cold here. I will visit Bird Watching Societies to seek for cooperation, and that will start roughly 10 Oct. Please get your photos ready because I will need them soon. Here is some ideas in my mind for the photoguide:

1. To work out all the species in China, especially the newly split species.
2. To describe as much as possible the field id of all subspecies.
3. To revise the species distribution information based on bird watching records in recent years.
4. To include description of most useful songs and calls.

There is a lot of work to be done, but if we can get everybody's help, we may see the first publication by mid-year next year. Thanks in advance.

中国图片手册（鸟类）进展情况：
您好，我是HF CHEUNG，从新疆向您发出此函。中国图片手册的准备工作进展得很顺利，至少比我预期的快。我很快就要离开新疆，这里开始冷了。我将大概从10月10日起开始拜访一些观鸟协会以寻求合作。请将你们的照片准备好，因为我很快就需要它们了，下面是我对图片手册的一些个人想法：
1.分类出中国境内（鸟类）的所有种类，特别是最新的分类
2.尽可能描述所有亚种的野外辨识地点
3.基于近几年的观鸟记录修订鸟种地区分布资料
4.收录比较有用的歌声（鸣声？）和叫声记录

有太多事要做了，但如果我们能让大家都帮帮忙，我们可能可以在明年中出版第一个版本。向您提前致谢！
