由泰国鸟类保育学会 (Bird Conservation Society of Thailand, BCST) 举办的第九届观鸟节将于11月21-22日举行。今次举办的地点是位于北榄府 (Samut Prakan) 的Royal Thai Army’s Bang Pu Recreation Centre (一个娱乐中心)。据说北榄府是泰国观看海鸥燕鸥的最佳地点!

今年的观鸟节主题是”拯救鸟类, 拯救地球” (“Save the Birds, Save the Earth”), 藉此宣传鸟类保育在维持健康的生态系统的重要性。活动内容包括: 展览、论坛、电影分享、鸟类问答游戏、绘画比赛、汗衣设计、短片制作比赛、音乐分享会、学生及儿童表演 (例如木偶表演、绘画等)。与此同时, BCST 的热心义工亦会帮忙带领观鸟。

BCST 诚意邀请各大陆鸟会参加, 而他们亦会资助每个鸟会2位 朋友当地的开支 (包括当地交通及住宿)。同时, 他们亦会在11月21-22日为各鸟会提供一个有篷的摊子用作展览及售卖货品之用。BCST 亦会提供一位义工帮忙作泰文的翻译。

观鸟节后, 他们亦安排了一个4天的观鸟团。

4天观鸟团行程

Petchburi boasts the highest number of bird species in any province of Thailand, with 550 species or 55% of bird species in the country, on record. The province maintains varieties of habitat from mudflat of the Inner Gulf of Thailand in the east, saltpan, freshwater wetlands, rice fields and farmlands, to rainforest and mountain up to 1,500 metre above msl. on Thailand-Myanmar borders in the west. It is also well known for an annual migratory raptor watch in September and October with Radar Hill as a prime counting site and Bangchak field as a resting site of no less than 8 species.

23 Nov. 09 Check out from Bang Pu at 6.00 am.
Morning Drive to Pak Tale and Laem Phak Bia in Petchburi Province about 100 km. south of Bangkok, a winter site of migratory birds on the East Asia Australasian Flyway Among he specialties for which we will be searching are Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Stints (Red-necked, Long-toed, Temminck’s), Plovers (Malaysian, White-faced & others), Red-necked Pharalope, Pied Avocet, Terns (Little, Caspian, Great Crested, Lesser Crested), Chinese Egret and Pallas’s Gull.

Afternoon Move to rice fields and freshwater wetland for farmland birds. The specialties for which we would be searching include Weavers (Asian Golden, Baya & Streaked), Plain-backed Sparrow, Ruddy-breasted Crake, Painted Stork, Asian Openbill and Bronze-winged Jacana.

Evening Move to Kaeng Krachan National Park, the largest NP in Thailand, with no less than 350 bird species on record. Check in at Kaeng Krachan Country Club Resort for 3 nights stay.

Wake up at 5.00 am. Breakfast and then bird watching all day in Kaeng Krachan NP with packed lunch.
Some of the specialties for which we’ll be searching are Kalij Pheasant, Grey Peacock Pheasant, Rusty-cheeked and Great Hornbills, Blue-bearded & Red-bearded Bee-eaters, Orange-breasted & Red-headed Trogons, Great Slaty Woodpecker, Sultan Tit, , barbets (Blue-eared, Blue-throated, Green-eared & Great), broadbills (Silver-breasted, Black-and-Yellow, Black-and-Red, Dusky and Long-tailed), Ratchet-tailed Treepie, White-hooded Babbler and Black-eared Shrike Babbler among a great range of others.
Thursday 26 Nov. 09 Wake up at 5.30 am. Check-out.
Morning Breakfast and birding around Kaeng Krachan NP to search for species that we may have missed till noon.
Afternoon After lunch, head back to Bangkok and birding on the way. We may make some roadside stops to see other birds of interest along the way
Evening Check in the hotel. Dinner.

Tour cost
450 USD per person, which includes all accommodations during the trip - 4 nights double-occupancy hotel rooms, all meals and drinking water, fees for bird leaders, National Park fees and permits, insurance, and tips for driver and hotel staffs.

办理泰国落地签证的方法：
